They are OTF gloating how the company has not used any of the scope we gave them. Skywest should be doing that flying, we get what we negotiate.

Not if you wanna spend anymore than the morning in da islands on your last day. There's no later option to leave. That's an expensive night of sleep and not much more for most people who fly on us outta Hawaii.

You can, but you lose a day in the islands. Time equals money. I would personally want that last day of vacation.

A year? Tough to say with the current state of affairs. We still haven't had a vacancy bid with any movement. Next month is when the ball of yarn starts unwinding with displacements and upgrades.

Probably about the same time as it would take you to upgrade on the best airplane ever made a few concourses down from ours. ;)

I’ve been reading up on what life’s like as a newbie.. that being said I haven’t seen much in the terms of crashpads. Considering the flexibility, covid, hiring,etc. do you think it’s worth getting on a waiting list? Or would money be better spent on hotels given how much you’re used on reserve?

I wouldn’t worry about a crashpad until you know what base you’re in. With a fly preference the likelihood you spend a entire rsv block unused is low. I had a crashpad in LAS, but that was sitting rsv under the old contract.

Depending on the base, hotels will eat up a huge chunk of your paycheck. I think MDW is prob the best base for crashpads and not needing a car. LAS is prob the best for cheap hotels.

crew-tel has contracted rates with hotels at most of our bases or you can always call the crew hotel and see what the swa rate is.
