Sorry man, totally missed your sarcasm. It's 2020 after all, everything is upside down. I stopped reading the SWAPA.forums a while ago. Maybe I should peek in there to enlighten myself with the wisdom of the experts. I probably should visit a liquor store first and get a big bottle of bourbon to help me digest those pages...
You’re going to need a big bottle. |

Might I suggest Country Gentleman. Bottle is plastic so when you get ****ed and throw it at the wall it won't do any damage. |

AMEN!! Tell it like it is brother!
Having my wife and kids read these and the SWAPA forums too so IF the time even comes they will be supportive of my NO vote. Hell, they’ll even wear “Full Pay till the Last Day” stuff (if they aren’t wearing MAGA that is) when I’m in the unemployment line. They will totally understand when we have to sell the house. FPTTLD!!! |

And you don’t need to go to the SWAPA forums. It’s the usual circus with the usual monkeys. What are we thinking now with furlough seniority? Still 30%? |

I like your optimism. Remember we don’t have to get to net zero to save jobs. We just have to get somewhere that doesn’t burn $17 mil a day. We need a PSP and a vaccine, oh and the media to shut up about it. I’m not sure how much revenue new cities bring.

The self centeredness of the top 5% income earners on this forum is astonishing. I can now understand how some men took positions in the life boats of the Titanic letting women and children die in their stead. This sentiment isn't limited to you or Southwest but is applicable across our entire industry, my airline included. You should have your financial house in order and so should your company. I'm disgusted by the idea of the taxpayer being used as a backstop to protect our McMansions, twin screw yachts, and whatever the current generation Corvette, not Miata, is. The cheese moved in 2001, 2008, and it's moved again.
Can't disagree with you. I lost my job, found another and am happier for it. To hear some of the people on this forum you'd think they cut off your arms and legs along with the furlough notice. Hey lets tear up our contract as long as we keep a meager portion of our paycheck and QOL. |
No consessions. We already gave. What's the average line value? What was it last year? Two years ago? Three? Consessions won't keep a furlough from happening. Only traffic will. GK says he doesn't have time for long negotiations? He sure did when it was our contract. Pull up your big girl panties and don't fall for this. He's double posturing - against Congress... and the weak sisters.

There is ZERO reason to entertain concessions when ultimately it will not stave off furloughs and will only set the starting bar lower if we ever end up in bankruptcy court. Have we not learned our lessons from the past for crying out loud? He IS double posturing indeed. I fully recognize that we are still very firmly not out of the woods but concessions aren’t gonna do much to help with that and will be a b!tc7 to claw back after we come out the other side. |
