I can look at the bid pack later, but Houston has had several commutable lines every month and many more with commutable trips. A lot of them are over the weekend, so they don't go senior. You may not hold them right away, but they are definitely out there.
Lots of trips start late morning and end early evening. Last flight to BNA is generally pretty late. No other major airline operates with pure AM/PM lines. Which can be both a benefit and at times a curse. |

An idea. Your house is your base. Each month after getting your award you subtract sick calls and make pre-planned fatigue calls. What's left is "your schedule". If "your schedule" gets changed, it is paid DT. Since the pilot put "his cards" on the table, he is positive spaced if he commutes. Both ways. A friend told me this concept.

While we're talking fantasies, how long to hold a line in ATL right now? Did it actually come down with time?

Do you live in ATL? If so, reserve is a good gig, other than it makes it more difficult to manipulate your schedule as you cannot ELITT reserve blocks (fixed next contract hopefully!!). Reserve at SWA is way different that other airlines. If you don't live in ATL...then I'd be looking to commute to a base like MDW, HOU, BWI, or DEN depending on where you live. You'll likely have much more relative seniority in those domiciles. |
