Look, I’m a Yes vote on the SAV. And fully understand how the RLA works and that we need to do this to give us leverage in negotiations.
Buts it’s disappointing to see everyone cheering this move like it’s some great thing. What we are agreeing to if it goes full course is a stoppage of work and pay for people that have families they need to provide for. Nothing about this SAV is a good thing. It should be discussed with a somber tone as a necessary evil. Not an announcement of a big party. Way too many people excited.
I will vote yes on the SAV because I want a new contract asap and understand this needs to happen. I would decide to hold an SAV as well if I was in charge. Doesn’t mean I’m happy about it.

Two of the new FO's I just flew with thought it meant we would immediately go on strike. Both were former military guys. So, I agree that it's the cockpit conversations that will have the most affect on the SAV turnout and result.

It’s about time for a SAV….. time to start beating the drum to get everyone on one page. Engage your fellow pilot, even the TDs of the company, time to make a stand and let your true colors be known.
Best line that is the reason behind the entire SAV
The strike vote will begin May 1, Murray said. Scheduling it for then means "we can best prepare for and give our customers time to book elsewhere so that they may have confidence in their summer vacations, honeymoons, and family outings," he wrote to members.
