I respect the choice to wait at the hotel for CHAT to find you a room, but I don't wait at the curb for more than 15 mins for transport, and I don't wait more than 30 mins after block in + 15 mins on hold to get a hotel. Anyone else is welcome to come with me.
* I don't agree with reimbursing medicals through Concur, that should just be stipend paid each January.

if I don’t have a hotel room or transportation, I’ll stay at the airport collecting DHR til someone who is responsible for sourcing said business expenses can be bothered to do their job.
If the delay makes me illegal for the next day, so be it. If I’m too tired to operate as schedule, then I’ll be fatigued. Some actuary somewhere did the math and if it doesn’t cost the company more than it’s worth to string us along, they won’t change how they prioritize rest and transportation for people who work the line.

I’ll be in the hotel I chose (not in an industrial park) while you stew in baggage claim. There’s a policy in place for 100% reimbursement if they fail their end. Use it or don’t….doesn’t matter to me.

Because my time is MINE. And I’m not going to waste MY time at work when I don’t have to be there. If you want to make easy hard, go for it.

Amen. With very few exceptions, the last thing I am going to do is put forth any effort to make myself legal for more of their operational buffoonery the next day.
Enabling this kind of behavior is the reason that they don't try to fix anything around here.

The important thing is to for what's best for YOU
Bidding straight is a contractual right
10000 individual contractors.
And we wonder why we even have to have a discussion about irop lodging/trans

It is not my job to find a hotel nor transportation after a day’s work.
What if I spend every dime I make and my credit cards are maxed out? What if I choose not to use credit cards at all? What if I don’t carry enough cash to purchase my own hotel and transportation? What if I’m just flat broke that day? The company doesn’t know this, but they shouldn’t assume that I can cover THEIR costs and their duties on a whim! Maybe I can’t afford to wait two days for my reimbursement.
Everyone has different situations going on in their lives. I shouldn’t have to budget to cover the company’s costs and duties while I’m out working four legs per day, with no time to even have warm meal most times.
