Theres more to a CBA than pay. I want SWAPA to negotiate quality of life improvements that protect me from fatiguing schedules, swaps, JAs, and long sits.

Pay is great, and chaos pay eases the pain a little, but I still want to see them make an attempt to fix contractually what WN fails to fix voluntarily.

Couldn't agree more. I too wish they’d stop trying to manage management and instead just make sure we get highly compensated when they screw up or jack us around.

By “compensated” I mean monetarily and in days off.

I want QOL improvements, but I doubt there’s any mechanism to enforce changes other than major overrides to shape how they use us. That’s the crux of my point, not payrates Uber alles.

Make every stupid thing they do with us cost them big bucks and eventually their stupid computer will learn to avoid the behavior that causes big payouts.

Just to pick one example, the ability to JA pilots on their days off can and should be removed from the contract. They do it because we allow it in our current agreement. It doesn't have to be that way.

This has to happen, along with true LTD or it’s a non starter.

Amen.

I’ve got a lot of red lines, JA being one of them. Didn’t mean to imply folding and just making a money grab. If JAs paid something absurd like the rigs times 6, how often do you think they’d use that tool?

I’m as ready as any to burn this place to the ground while we hop around it like something out of dances with wolves right now. Just gotta get released to make it happen. Wind your watch on that front.

Not sure about you but I have never and will never work into a day off unless it’s advantageous to me monetarily. Go ahead and JA me and I’ll see if it’s worth my time. If it’s not……well, you know the rest.

Same. For all of you reading this, this situation and the writing on the wall scream 30 Day Cooling Off Period.

Get comfortable being uncomfortable all the way into the late PM hours of the 30th day because these *********s aren’t going to budge until they’re facing a complete shutdown of their clown show airline. This is blatantly obvious to me.

Yup. I'm already exhausted at the end of a scheduled trip these days. I just don't have anything left in me for more.
