Agreed, never accept the first deal presented to you

Anywhere from 3 days prior to strike to reaching an agreement 10 minutes after we have actually walked off the job.

The question is how long until we're released.

Considering it's been 13 years since the last airline strike in the US...and considering the collective memory of last Christmas's kerfuffle...I feel that the likelihood of anyone being released anytime in the next, say, 12 months is vanishingly small...

So why do you suppose our final mediated meeting is in NMB headquarters in DC on Nov 30?

we’re not getting released. Too much progress has been made. let’s just be realistic here. Even if we did.. and we’re not.. it would get vetoed so fast. So yeah.. get your 10 minute strike fund ready!

Yes... let's be realistic. TFP rates? Major sticking point - not agreed to. NEC contributions? Major sticking point - not agreed to. From our NC....
The bad news is that most of the items that remain are either big ticket economic issues like TFP and retirement rates, or issues that we and the Company fundamentally disagree on, such as their addiction to reassignment or our belief that SWAPA Pilots deserve to be industry-leading (not matching) in order to get a ratifiable deal.
How do you define impasse again?
