Alaska buying Hawaiian

I would go more for an apple for an apple. boutique airlines., southern airlines maybe Mesa, but they are a step above this place .
And of course, any large plumbing operation would fit well with our 10k plumbers, this place has.
For all the people at HQ., no need to say it. "if you do not like it here you can leave. ". The same line for 50 years. . This place does not want anybody that has any self-worth.

For several years, I have been convinced that WN had an M&A deal planned. Furthermore, I, too, believed WN was (should) going after HA. Frontier was planning to go after NK, but once again B6 wasn't having it and could very well succeed in its takeover. I believe today is closing arguments, so we'll know soon enough.
So, if WN still has a plan then what company is it? What would SY or G4 give WN? Is it possible that there has been a bigger play planned all along?
WN has been stagnating for years and now it seems like BJ/GK are still asleep at the wheel with no vision or innovation.

Absolutely nothing against any of the fine folks at Sunny, but why would SWA bother with a carrier of only 54 aircraft?
You’ve witnessed first-hand just how inept they are at handling any change and I’ve witnessed first-hand how to screw up the merging of two airlines so what would be the advantage of aquiring SY?

1. 625 737 type rated pilots
2. Eight gates next to your three T2 MSP. You'd own your own terminal in Minnie.
3. Two new 737 sims managed by AVG in a new facility.
4. 700 FAs in four? US bases.
5. 737 maintenance facility with mechanics and idk, twenty new CFM56s laying around.
6. A sports (including MLS) and casino charter line of biz that is quite profitable.
7. A resilient group that's been around forty years.
Our planes are on low cost leases or owned. Others know more then I. No idea if that's a plus or a minus. (Thx beech- edited)
I don't think any of us wish for this.... I don't. But thought I'd offer a fair answer. We're way more then Moxy. No offense to anyone.
