Complexity has its costs but the A220-300 is a near perfect one for one replacement for the Max-7. Take out EMS seating and you can put 145 seats in a Southwest configuration at 31" of pitch with the option of getting greedy and squeezing in one more row for 150. Two and three seating probably helps keep turn times down as well.

Maybe Breeze would be the best choice for an acquisition? :stirpot:

Here's an idea. Buy someone. Keep them seperate. Keep the best of both. Sell the rest. File a quickie Ch 11. Put the 2 together. All good. Kind of an 80s plot.

Calm down. The time to acquire another carrier was years ago when they were at fire sale prices and the DOJ didn't want to chest thump about consumer protection.

Because the contract is done. The forums need a new drama... Where's the fun in calming down? 😜

With all the rumors going around about a merger/acquisition, if a guy with less than 5yrs seniority, and over 30 yrs left, gets a call from Delta/American, is it still worth jumping over there?

1 year? Maybe. 5 years? No way. And all of that is a WAG... but rest assured, you'll know if you made the right call when you turn 65.

How many threads/posts are you going to make about leaving X airline for Y airline?

when was the last time SWA had things together? What's your baseline?

Lol I was just joking with the rebuttal. In all seriousness though, I would need the mindset to shift and for us to actually take some risks as a company in order for me to not want to consider leaving. My worst fear is that I stay at Southwest for 35+ years hoping things change and we adapt, but never do.

Management needs to realize that if we don’t change the mindset, we will be left behind. One thing that Delta does so well is that they are always looking ahead.
