Agreed on both points.

I do not see why SWAPA does not want zero pay lines. I would think all the pilots who clear their board every month , would like those lines. (predicated on being able to pick up.)

If the answer is due to green bars, and why not give the zero lines a GB average .

If you can get the same thing at half guarantee (for example), why not try for that first? If that fails, then we can discuss zero pay lines.

Zero pay lines are divisive at this airline. Most guys would use them to game the system and build their own schedule.

If they want true zero pay pilots, offer LOAs. Done.

You really think the company would allow 0 hr lines with the ability to choose your own schedule? Yeah right. If they're overstaffed, they prob want you to take time off and not pay you a cent...at all. Not give you the ability to credit 150+ on premium...that doesn't help their bottom line. Guys on ETO/EXTO were not allowed to pick up, I assume the same thing would apply to any other leave program. ETO would give people the ability to take a month off with "some" pay/NEC....not sure how that would play into your MBE for LOL purposes if you went out anytime within a year after taking the time off.

This is such BS. Let's pay a few lucky people 50% for sitting on their butts, while everyone else gets crappy paying 12-15 day lines without a green bar. Uh nope. Not interested. Too bad SNAPA doesn't care what the unwashed masses think.
