After the FO revolt that swept the SWAPA elections in 2009, the newly appointed Commissar of Communications (who jumped over to management with the rest of the FO "saviors" in short order) changed the old SWApA logo to one that looked like SNAPA.

He also took it upon himself to publish, on our dime, an awesome E-Zine called "Range", which was a huge hit with the pilots.

Shouldn't the only option here be VSP?

It would not suprise me if SWAPA does exactly opposite of what they poll? After all, the executives at Empire Central do not want to delay their new mangament positions at HQ.

I put that in my comments on the survey.
I agree!

If you are an FO at SWA there is no reason why you wouldn't want to see VSP offered.

Hell, I’m a mid-seniority captain and I’d love for it to be offered. The company however is apparently pretty adamant against it this time.

I think a ton of Sr CAs would want it offered and would take it. I unfortunately wouldn’t be able too.

I put it in my comments too, but I don't think we will see it. I was wrong about the ETO too, though, so who knows.
Even if they only offered it for a couple of years instead of 5 years, they would get enough bodies and everybody would move up a notch or two in the interim. It was definitely a nice boost coming out of Covid with those guys gone.

Most that took the last VSP had 1200-1600 sick trips. I am not sure what the real cost was to company. Most of VSP was funded by sick time .
