There is a pretty good briefing about this given to new hires. This pilot should have been intercepted before the hotel van. Now it's too late.

Yes he should have been. The FO was sr also. He should have stopped it. But the CA made choices. Hopefully he gets the help he needs.

If he wants to keep a medical, he will volunteer himself to the appropriate pathways. In some circumstances, this type of event could be a life saver. I sure hope he gets better.

We don’t know the circumstances in how the FO or other crew were involved—or in fact what the actual facts are (medication mix? IDK)—was the FO participating the night before? He didn’t get arrested….obviously was not able/did not give the “you don’t seem ok. Are you sick?” question. Also, you AM’ers are weird .

Must have been a PMer on a AM trip. Real AMers eat dinner out of their bags, down a couple Deja Blues, and are in bed by 7.

And then have to get up at 4 am to find ice for their bags... I dont know how they do it.
