Did you have that same attitude when SWA management referred to your pilot group as “plumbers”? You want to be treated like a professional? You want to be paid that large amount of cash money like a professional? Apparently not, because anyone criticizing these “influencers” who wear their company uniform to film themselves literally clowning around are “wild karen’s”. Yikes dude, bad take.

Just to add that most of us leave each other alone—but one of the majority causes of pilot terminations at WN relates to social media posts. This comes from a conversation I had with a deadheading pro-standards pilot. This is another reason I don’t FB, TikTok, or IG.

Absolutely have zero connection to work, including pictures in uniform, etc.
Lock down permissions
Don't write anything that could possibly be construed the wrong way, even if you think it's super funny or cool.
If you have trouble with that, just don't comment or post on anything period.
There was a SWAPA number podcast a while back that talked about a guy who made an offensive comment on an aviation related forum where they were not identified as a Southwest pilot. The offended person then did a little reasearch and found their social media with Southwest stuff on it. They then took their screenshots and sent them to the company. The pilot was disciplined.
I basically don't post or comment on anything on social media unless it is strictly informative and non-controversial. It only takes a second for a screen shot to make its way to employee relations. It simply isn't worth it.
Big Ern, Captain Morgan, etc have all gotten the company's blessing to go forth and do their thing. If you don't like it, then you probably aren't the target audience. I certainly don't watch it. It doesn't bother me, though, because I simply don't care.
