Exactly. Doesn’t sound like a good time. Definitely the way forward though.

Yeah it would be a disaster. From a 30k foot perspective, there is no way it will ever happen, even with the current administration. Fun to talk about, though.

Quote: Yup. Makes sense. Let’s do it!
You just want to sit in the chair in the corner while you watch another guy have his way with your seniority. I think there's a name for that....😉

Given the fact that SWAPA pilots have historically done quite well in mergers & acquisitions, I’m still waiting on a compelling argument on how they’d be screwed this time around.

Yeah, no thanks. Already did that once and not by choice. Sounds like kinky fun but I don’t recommend it.

Quote: Short answer. Yes, I think that’s where it’s heading long term. However, I realistically think they will have to eventually have some sort of regional feed to make a hub and spoke model work.
There is nothing wrong with having a regional feeder airline PROVIDED that the pilots of the regional are on the SWAPA seniority list. PanAm did that with PanAm Express. New Hires at the Express were locked in for 3 or 4 years (I can’t remember exactly) but then could bid vacancies at PanAm. A friend did that and went from the left seat of the Dash-8 to the right seat of the Airbus 310, bypassing being a 727 FE.
