Huh? I checked the back of my license and it actually says I'm typed in the DC-9 (and the 737, but someone else paid for that, too).

So, using your logic (which I'm sure management would love you to continue to use), the 737-500 is an RJ also? Make sure to let management know during the next Section 6 negotiations that the only difference between a CRJ900 and a 737-800 is the number of seats installed.

Please, continue to base your arguments on press releases issued 13 years ago.
No I did not say you fly an RJ, I was simply trying to point out the fact that they are using semantics to protect themselves from the ugly reality that they are only willing to advocate a staple when it is to their list and it is only if the other group of airline pilots operate RJ's.

I have never advocated a staple for the AT group. It is simply an unrealistic bargaining position. My goal has always been seniority neutrality at the end of my career. When I joined Southwest I had a realistic expectation to look at the seniority list and calculate where I would end up on that list at my retirement date. I do not want the acquisition of AirTran to alter that percentage.

Trust me when I say it doesn't matter to me when you get a pay raise. Your pay will never come out of my bank account and I want everyone in this profession to make a good living. I have never and will never advocate a different pay rate for the 717. That is equipment I may want to transition to some day and would never want to take a financial hit to do so.

I went out of my way to explain I was not trying to belittle AT pilots or regional pilots but in fact point out that the Delta argument was based on unsound logic. If you are a Delta pilot it is apparently only OK to advocate a staple if they fly RJ's. If my comments caused offense to AT or RJ guys, i truly apologize for that.

Ok, I get that. It's a little too easy to read someone's post negatively.

Thanks for the clarification.

Fly safe.
