Why you like/dislike SWA
Thought it'd be nice to have a place to complain about or praise Southwest. Hopefully this will be a good outlet for those that have been polluting other threads where guys are genuinely happy to be hired. I'll start the debate.
I like Southwest because they've never furloughed and have made a profit every year for the last 41 years!

Read "hard landings". Educate yourself on industry history prior to Obama/bush. Then you will understand some of the angst that senior pilots hold against SWA. Most didn't appreciate their visionary (in the 80s) compensation of no defined benefit retirement and no retirement health care along with lower wages but eventually the industry came around to their vision of pilot compensation.
Oh btw congress just took the first bite of your entitlement aka retirement pay from the military. Once they take their bite they will be back for more. Welcome to the new order should have put a little more into that tsp. luv.

I totally agree with you about this subject being beaten to death. Not sure the Mods can do anything unless there is a violation of terms.
Whether it is a separate thread such as this one or one that has nothing to do with liking/disliking SWA it will eventually degrade into a whine fest. We can't control how people react to life events. The same folks will continue to complain and cry no matter what. I actually am starting to feel sorry for them.
I am baffled when someone like Frank Rizzo says "I" stole something from them. I had no contact with SWAPA reps or SWA management about anything that occurred with the AT acquisition but yet "I" am personally to blame.
I LIKE SWA and don't DISLIKE AT.

You should disengage from any conversations with the WM. He is a Captain after all and anything you try to dissuade him from is futile. All these discussions you are having with him have been thrown back and forth for quite awhile. He has been "wronged" and somebody needs to pay for it. Waste of your time if you ask me.
