I believe it was his leg . . . . the flight attendants wheeled him out on a two-wheeled appliance dolly. . . . a friend of mine was the GM of the hotel. That was 15 years ago, and he still laughs about it. :D

So that was Superman. Let's not forget about Spiderman.

Thanks for the input guys. What about OAK? I know its expensive in the Bay Area, but I like road biking and running, and the moderate temps there would be advantageous to that year round. Plus it's a 3 or 4 hour drive to Tahoe for some good skiing.

You were wrong about LAS but spot on about OAK.
California is insanely expensive.....10% state income tax and EVERYTHING is priced sky high. Not even all that fun either. I lived there and know.

LAS is a great bet! (no pun intended) For all but 3 months out of the year the weather is awesome. Great places to ride, run, and hike. Even during the summer months you can get a ride/run in if you will do it late or early in the day. EVERYTHING you can imagine wanting is available. The Strip is somewhere where people go to work or visit occasionally if you live in Las Vegas. The city has its own vibe and is a great place to live. I would recommend looking at Summerlin/Henderson areas. Especially if you like getting outdoors...those two places have great access.
Oh...did I mention no state income tax?
You should give LAS a second look.....and look away from the Strip.

Keep in mind that Kalifornia will also take it's own Disability Tax out of your paycheck--even if you live out of state and commute to OAK!

I just applied to Southwest airline and later got a called saying that my application has been accepted. Right now I am in basic training. I am a former express jet airlines captain but we really never had any fun bases. So I was wondering what bases are the best. I have heard many stories from Chicago Midway base but I think they will probably base me out of Houston unsure yet. If I was based out of Houston is that base better or worse than Chicago Midway and Las Vegas?

What is basic training? For your 737 type? Army bootcamp? What? :)

Didn't you post earlier this morning about how your application was "accepted" by SWA after your contract with XJT was complete?? But now you're already a SWA 737 FO. That was quick, I guess "basic training" was super easy then.

You should go back to playing kickball with the other kids on your block.
