Im locked out as well...how do you register for something when they lock you out of it???

ccdyer76 08-25-2016 05:38 AM

You know I really don't understand why they would need a recruiting event. SWA has turned away many qualified and competent pilots. SWA seemed like a good fit for myself and my family but I don't have the time to sit in front of my computer screen waiting for the window to open for the virtual "golden ticket". It is a glorified tour. Face time is very important but really..... At least limit to people who meet the min requirements for employment.

TapRack 08-25-2016 05:52 AM

I was just now able to log in, and a friend was able to as well.

KingAir42 08-25-2016 05:58 AM

same for me but no job fair link to sign up

KingAir42 08-25-2016 06:00 AM

Okay. so more available slots for later this morning? I have to sit here and keep refreshing to not miss the slot openings???

It's like the gift that keeps on giving. :D

It would be sweet justice if most of the 300 slots were filled with 65 year olds holding a sport pilot certificate or the ones that irritate the recruiters at WAI and OBAP because they don't have the qualifications. I wasted my money last year only to be told to get the 737 type so we know you are serious and everyone's favorite, "keep doing what your doing"! Like I said this is just a company scam to use during negotiations.

pilot100 08-25-2016 06:12 AM

Front page. Don't need to be logged in.

KingAir42 08-25-2016 06:16 AM

Is there a finish line in the rat race? Or is there cheese at the end of the maze? a way out of the maze?

Did you take the red pill or the blue pill?

Padre Mac 08-25-2016 06:34 AM

When I log into the site, an iCIMS tab has shown up. Anyone else getting this? http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...933747f7f9.jpg

Joser1965 08-25-2016 07:24 AM

its comforting to know that hiring is all luck and nothing else.

the southwest lottery.

Dukeuno 08-25-2016 07:30 AM

It has once again crashed.

pilot100 08-25-2016 07:30 AM

you got to be kidding

KingAir42 08-25-2016 07:30 AM

Pilot shortage? what pilot shortage? if there was a pilot shortage we would not be crashing "pilot credential" websites

weekendflyer 08-25-2016 07:32 AM

this is so dumb

KingAir42 08-25-2016 07:33 AM

Explains why we continue to drive for Uber when we are not flying professionally

Yep. Our 757/767 training has had a lot of 76 sim issues, so they have been training into all fleets. Old college friend just got hired at 52...he will spend some time on reserve but will also be laying over a lot in CDG, HKG, NRT, KIX, DBX, CGN, and oh yeah...DEL. Lots of single departure trips once you can hold a secondary line....tyypically 10-15 days at 80-100 credit hours. Reserve is 15/19 days based on 4/5 week bid months.

Had beers with a new hore on IOE in Narita earlier this month. Wild stuff going on at FDX right now...we are just starting into the 150-200 year retirement wave we have all been waiting for...

It was loading last night and this morning when I checked it last around 6am CST. Of course, couldn't log in, but the site would load.

taters 08-25-2016 07:44 AM

These events are nothing but a hustle.

Yes they will tell you how to be more competitive, but going to these events do NOT actually change any metrics that would increase your chances of getting hired....I have been told this by 2 different airlines (HR people that actually do the work) that use Pilot Credentials.....all they can do is search the database with given parameters.

These fairs ARE a game changer for many of the smaller operators that use more traditional selection methods.

I agree it probably doesn't help as much. But do you know for sure that attending this job fair (or WAI/OBAP) doesn't measure into the metrics they use to sift applicants on Pilotcredentials.com? I find it hard to believe going through the hassle and financial aspect it takes to get to these events, doesn't count for anything in the selection process, but maybe that's just me being hopeful.

pilot100 08-25-2016 08:02 AM

now the site says an error has occurred and it has been sent to support,
really?

This is what I get when I try and go to pilotcredentials.

TapRack 08-25-2016 08:10 AM

Don't know why I'm trying so hard. Snowball's chance I'd even be off work that day. :(
