Sadly, the exact same thing happened last time SWA had a in house career fair registration. You would think the IT people at pilot credentials would be better prepared this time. Just saying....

The site has been down for almost an hour. Time to go to work and hope the slots get released before I can log back in.

Actually the site was down yesterday long before midnight and hasn't been up since...

Server down for maintenance....my airline career, also down for maintenance.

Just a little history, I sent this email to the IT people at pilot credentials about a week and half ago:


Hello,

I can't go into the specifics on the technical stuff, but we have reworked some of the system logic so it can handle a higher volume of traffic. We also worked more closely with Southwest's recruiters and marketing team to ensure the directions are correct this time.

In regards to actual server load capacity, unfortunately we were not able to secure the funding to improve that, so the site may still go down if enough people attempt to register at the same time.

Southwest is an IT disaster and you poor people are witnessing it first hand. How incredibly unprofessional and amateurish. Typical though.
