There's a dfw captain that plays golf with the chief pilots from delta and SW. I'm guessing that's where.

We've all been asking him that for years.

I think all signs point to Spirit ordering a bunch of C Series. With 6,800 orders on back fill for Airbus, our chance of getting any more new Airbuses from the factory in the next decade are slim to none. Talked with the VP of Avenger Flight Group, he said they just ordered 2 C Series sims to provide sim support for an airline currently in final negotiations with bombardier. BF said a few months ago they wanted to get into the smaller markets. I also think our new DTW chief pilot was brought here to write the C Series program. That's what his back ground was in Eagle, he helped bring the CRJ on board for them. I'm guessing our TA will come the same week these planes are announced, the order will be contingent upon the TA passing.

Airbus has the ability to produce for us if we want it.. it's a drop in the bucket. The DTW Chief is just another hand picked friend of Jyri.

If they are stupid enough to try and offer some awful TA contingent upon aircraft orders let them stay at the factory. Even a no vote will still see them on property if they want them.

That's one of the weirdest ones I've heard lately. What is SWA going to do with 1500+ spare pilots if they have no interest in keeping the 'buses? AirTran already had 737's, so they just had to train the 717 guys.

Exactly. I for one couldn't care less about a new aircraft order. We do not even have the infrastructure to handle 70 planes, now we have a 100....we could never handle 200 at this current level of staffing models, support, IT, etc....

Well, please cancel the order now.

I thought the new DTW chief pilot was another Jyri monkey from Eagle like the guy installed at ORD.

The Jyri monkey installed in ORD? Have you met him? Dealt with him? He's a pilot with a seniority number, unlike JS.

The DTW chief pilot is one of the nicest, most qualified, most down to earth guys I have ever worked with.
