This is the crux. All the rest is ancillary

You're absolutely right. We have union leadership on the standing available list so they aren't even on the same team. It's up to us.

Prior updates said exactly that, nice to see the change in tone.

I dont want to get into the insults on the forums, there is enough of that here.

The quote from the latest was..

"While the parties worked through a number of issues in Section 9, we are disappointed that, even with Mediator Catherine McCann’s assistance, the parties were unable to reach tentative agreements (TAs) on these sections."

I see this language to not differ much, if any, from past "although meaningful progress was made, we were unable to secure."

As a pilot, am I supposed to read that FastRead and feel any sort of confidence or excitement for things to come? Should I be excited to see a schedule of confirmed negotiating sessions, some with only one session the entire month, while we lead up to two years amendable?

A simple message of "while we were hashing over the same details in section 9, Jet Blue pilots were being awarded a 16% profit sharing, while they are in their current negotiation for their first contract."

What we actually need to do is blow up our reps in boxes about the weak messaging. That is how we affect change.

I can almost guarantee the message is being defanged by the lawyers in Herndon. Having interacted with mm and ps I am pretty sure this is not the tone they wanted to use here

“This vote shows the deep anger our pilots feel toward their senior management,” said Capt. Hoon Lee, chairman of the ALPA unit at Hawaiian Airlines. “We absolutely do not want to go on strike, but if that’s what it takes to get a market-rate contract, our pilots have told us loud and clear that they will stand together and take that final step.”....this is the language I think we should be at right now.

After reading the latest NC brief it's absolutely time we take a strike vote. It would also be nice if the "company helpers" would just enjoy their time off.

Thanks for posting all these links. Reading through them again makes me embarrassed to wear my green lanyard.

Thank you for posting. I am beyond ****ed now. We should demand an answer as to why we are so adamant in employing losing strategies while others are not and winning

Whatever happened to our Weekly MEC updates? He overall feeling of resignation from our fearless leaders is disturbing.

I've spoken to my rep about this in the past too. They've claimed they've tried, but the negotiators say 'we're not there yet.' Why do these emails make it sound like things are OK?! Who's in charge?
