Here's one section of the findings I posted which clearly illustrates the union did not support it nor was it backed by the union.

"(7) Neither the Union leadership nor the present Delta Master Executive Council ("MEC") of ALPA supports this effort and both have, in fact, counseled against it. The Delta MEC serves as ALPA's coordinating council for Delta pilots. Pilots at pilot bases are represented through ALPA Local Executive Councils ("LECs"), whose elected representatives constitute the Delta MEC."

Moot point. The company is blaming this all on weather so they don't have to pay passengers. We're off the hook. Those dummies

54 cancellations so far today via flightaware. Does the company have a good argument for a lawsuit? Sure, but a lawsuit would just push the aggression to the company that much farther resulting in fueling the fire and.....more cancelled flights costing them more money in the long run.
Bring on the lawsuit.

If they sue the first thing they'll ask for is an injunction. Which has worked against United, AA, DAL and others. The injunction will demand everyone stop whatever actions are taking place.
They may also sue. AA sued the pilots and were awarded 45 million.
That's not what was paid, but was awarded.

My only dog in the fight is hoping you guys get a stellar contract.
Nobody needs negotiations to be stalled via an uneeded law suit.
Good luck.

An injunction against the weather? They literally have a hotline set up blaming the weather.
I appreciate your knowledgeable input but I think the company has itself backed into a corner and this is their own making. Not ours. Def not their first incompetence induced meltdown either so there's that.

On another note, I got a call at around 4am this morning. I didn't wake up till 3 hours later, so I can assume whatever they were calling for was cancelled or covered. My phone hasn't rang since then, but I keep hearing the cancellation tally is increasing. Sounds to me like another meltdown in OCC.

Funny, massive cancellations the last couple days and my phone hasn't rung once... almost like they aren't trying to fill cockpit seats.

Haven't been called once in the last several days. Cancellation tally up to 52 today. It's almost like OCC has lost control or wants to make it look worse than it is.

That's what I'm thinking. Few days of cancellations cost a few million. Stall the mediator at our current rates for another 6 months... NK gold.
