Copied and pasted from my post on "Spirit of NKS"
All I know is that everybody better watch their tongues in the terminal for the foreseeable future. I predict lots of people, both passengers and non-pilot Spirit employees are going to have a lot of comments. Call me paranoid, but I plan on having my phone on as a recording device when I'm walking through the terminal and at the gate. There have been too many incidences of violence recently and I want to be able to prove that it was nothing that I said. We all know the company will not have our backs should anything happen. |

I got four of those this morning.
And still, my phone never rang, not once, during this "crisis". |

In addition scheduling has rarely called about picking up open time trips.
Btw, I still haven't been called by crew scheduling even though we had 60 plus cancellations yesterday and already many today. |

Didn't a SWA pilot successfully sue his employer for creating a hostile work place for him? I believe he was awarded several million dollars and actually still works there.

Btw, I was on an extended strike at another carrier years ago. Do not expect to make new friends with any of your nonpilot coworkers and as a matter of fact, don't be surprised if you lose a friend over the tension that you guys have at work. IT DOESN'T MATTER! You're all totally in the right over this. Hang in there and don't let your management's mismanagement be your fault. I'm assuming the FAs are being pretty supportive of the pilots at least, right?

I believe it was the cptn on the "granny's, grandes, and gays" flight. The company let his identity slip and he started getting harassed by fellow employees (you can probably figure out what sexual orientation they were), so yes I believe he sued SWA for hostile work environment. Of course, that's after his wife left him for basically admitting on the frequency that he chased skirt at work.
60 cancellations?! Is the number just going up and up everyday? I just went back and listened to the audio of that. Makes me roll for a solid five minutes every time. Hahahahha. If he got a settlement and is back at work then that's the Icing on the cake. Every time I say some wild stuff to my coworker I always look down at the radio bc of this incident. |
