Although 45 minutes to the hotel can be frustrating, with a close hotel there is a chance you wait 30 minutes for the van and then get to ride with a bunch of tourists for 15 minutes. All the hotels are approved and everyone has their favorites and least favorites. It's a part of the job and some people will always have a complaint

We don't have long/short language in the contract like you do. Forgive the two cents from your fellow ULCC brethren but you seem to be doing pretty well in the hotel department. It's incredibly hard to please everyone.

Oh and good luck in the contract fight, hopefully we'll all get the chance to walk the line together at some point in the near future.

Very well said, and thank you for the outside perspective.

Yes, let's maintain mediocre because someone else has it worse.

Yes, let's keep believing that starting a conversation with "This crap needs to stop" is a good way to start a discussion. I also never stated we shouldn't strive for better, I said you need to stop whining. There's a big difference between crying and being constructive (maybe not you specifically, but you seem to support it).

Again, very pleased with the PROGRESS the hotel committee has been making. Especially since I'm not willing to participate and the committee does it's best to listen and fulfill the needs of the majority of its members.

Have a great week!

Put it in the next contract to describe what a hotel overnight is. Short/Long stays. We have some loose language at B6... it helps but we need something more iron clad.
