Were you called for polling?

Wanting to see how many were polled and the cross section of pilots.

So are they done doing the polling calls? ( I can't remember how long they were suppose to go:))

Qotsaautopilot 10-19-2017 08:45 PM

FYI it makes you easier to identify

Super EZ E 10-20-2017 04:59 AM

I was called last Friday 13th. go figure. I've only talked to one other pilot that was called. He was 2nd year FO. Are they done???

Per the meeting Friday, 20th at the ORD picket event, they polled 300 pilots and are done with the current round.

While I voted in the above poll, I highly doubt it's accuracy, given the very small cross section of Spirit pilots and management trolls that come to this board.

So basically they polled less than one fifth ( or less than 20%) of the pilot group?

veewan 10-24-2017 03:16 AM

What were they polling about?

Good question! Many of weren’t polled so we’ll never really know.... ;)

Super EZ E 10-24-2017 06:50 AM

Here are some of the questions. I'm not posting all of them because we have company trolls here. IMHO it's going to be a long time before we have a TA. Have to go update my logbook and apps.

Do you know the company proposal?
Do you know the Union proposal?
Then asked about each item: pro, for, against or should the union negotiate?
How long do you think it will take to get a TA? <12months plus>
Do you have an app out?
Do you plan on staying?
Do you plan on staying if we get a TA?

I think that it'll be long enough that if you don't have a degree you'll be able to get it and move on before we have a TA.

This time, yes.

Multiple rounds of polling, 300 different pilots each time. Different questions each time.

1/5th of the eligible voting pilots, assuming roughly 1500 can vote, is a broad enough sample for each round of polling. (my assumption only, but I think the union said the same thing.)

So wait you are saying they are going to be doing more polling after this one?

If you were on the call you would know. I don't really think you work here, so it shouldn't matter...

I wasn't on the call because I was at this magical place called WORK. Moron.

Yes, because you think if someone wasn't on the conference call then they don't work here lmao it's like you're a teenage girl or something.

But please remind us how we have all the leverage in the world, and how the company will come crawling to our feet with a new proposal any day now while we spend the rest of the year polling to find out the obvious.

The purpose of these calls are to see if the membership has finally come down to reality so they can finally start the real negotiations.

Yeah you're right. To be honest I think we should get paid regional rates with no work rules and 10 days off. By the way, who do you work for again? Because I find it funny that all you have done is talk SHT on the Spirit threads but you don't work here.

Sometimes you should at least find good water before you wet a line and start trolling. You’re just blindly dragging old blown out baits expecting to snag something. Get lost

There have been SEVERAL conference calls to accommodate everyone’s schedules. It’s possible but highly unlikely you were working for all of them. You don’t work here though, we already knew that which is why you’re on the union buster list

I don’t know, water seems fine here, murky and full of manure :)

You're right, I wasn't working for one of the calls. I'm really sorry for having a family and having that take priority over wasting an hour of my life learning nothing of value from our sad MEC.

I seriously suggest you try growing up sometime Mr. Internet Tough Guy. Just because someone doesn't have the exact same opinion as you doesn't mean they don't work here. I do work here and have for awhile but if you think I seriously give a flying F if you think I do or not then you sir need to get a life. Or since you are in our leadership group I suggest you go back to doing that instead of bullying people on the internet all day.

Honest question not trying to troll. Just curious about expectations. Are most pilots at Spirit expecting a Delta/UA contract with the pay, work rules, and retirement or they are a no? Just want to honestly get the pulse.

I’ll bite... we expect and will except nothing less than industry standard pay and retirement with retention of our present work rules... nothing less will pass

If you actually do work here and taking an hour to stay engaged for important negotiations updates is too much for you then I don’t know what to tell you. Write an email or pick up the phone if you have a question that you would like answered. Stop asking it here though.

My guess is you are just trying to control a negative rhetoric against ALPA which is exactly what the company would do. Bendo has been doing exactly this in every recurrent for 2 1/2 years. Not by directly bad mouthing the union but by making statements that would make the pilots question the leadership thus fragmenting unity, union busting. You’re doing the exact same thing which is why you are on the union buster list.

Easy way to see if he does work here or has access to Spirit material. Just ask him what’s on certain pages of the FOM or one of our many manuals.
If he can’t give a timely answer, he can ****.
Funny how he can’t take the time to listen to a conference call, but he can spend countless hours surfing APC.

Anyone in mgmt or their surrogates has access to that information and can regurgitate it easily. His divisive posts are proof enough he’s not a member of this pilot group and at the very least a kid that makes a hobby out of trolling or a company representive places here intentionally to create strife within the group and fracture unity.

What is "industry standard"? Is this like some coined phrase by the union. Each pilot can define that in 10 million different ways. My question in my first post was simple. Is it going to take a DL or UA contract as a whole (Hourly rate, work rules, retirement, etc) to get a yes vote? If you can't even answer this simple question then god help us all.

What a great representation of this pilot group. I bet you wouldn’t say that to anyone’s face. Keep hiding behind your keyboard internet warrior.

The stupidity of this comment doesn’t even justify a response...guess the voting will speak for itself
