I can't agree with this more. The oral was super easy and so was the type ride. You already have been told what to know. My whole class was well prepared cos we worked together and we had 100%. We would meet up after class at the pool or BBQ and quiz each other every day. Instructors and Examiners were very happy with my class.

ok to be clear, the oral was easy because you probably studied your butt off on your own time.

Which is what everyone should do. Nobody said you didn’t have to put in any work. I studied more for the oral than I probably have for anything in my life. And I passed. It wasn’t easy, but it wasn’t super difficult either.

agreed 100%... from what I’ve heard the big 3 treat their new hires differently. I’m hesitant to say “spoon feeding” but that’s what I’ve gathered. Personally I am looking forward to the changes associated the implementation of AQP

That's a tough question. Teeth can be a problem. I prefer a little attention to the step children. Most like to be done early, but I like a little attention to detail.

Just got out of training and here’s my insight. Know your limitations, memory items and flows. Know the flows from muscle memory then dive into the expanded checklist before you show up.
You will get all the training material you need, but I highly recommend 1step.com. It’s a $100 a month (you’ll only need one months worth) and divided among your classmates, it come out to be about $10 each. The instructor is a current NK f/o and the info is geared towards us. It made all the difference to me and my classmates. If anyone has any info about the whole process, from interviewing, to class, to OE, shoot me a PM. I’d be happy to help because I was just in your shoes and I’d be happy to pay it forward. |
