It’ll be interesting to hear what management says during the next earnings call on the 6th. How this will affect their costs and savings from the new tax law. If it turns out to be cost neutral, that will likely sway some votes....

Do you currently have a defined contribution or is it a 401K match? From what was posted, 13% DC at DOS is pretty huge if you just have a match now. The rates aren’t bad either. Good luck with your decisions, guys and girls. At first glance it looks pretty solid, though.
Just make sure you guys don’t start fighting amongst yourselves (yes vs no voters) from now until the vote though. It happens, but everyone gets one vote for a reason. |

Min day is not standard. Alaska, AA, FedEx and JetBlue do not have min day. Delta, Hawaiian, SWA and united do..
Jb will. It is the new standard. |

I feel that there are some on this board that would say it's a turd no matter what. The deal seems pretty decent at first glance. Would you really hold out another year for 5-10 bucks more? There will always be no votes and some things are not ideal (like pbs) but this is passible.

Unimpressive for the current profit and expected future growth. How is your job any different from SWA pilots with SWA also offering cheap fares? I am not suggesting SWA rates, but certainly an improvement vs this latest offer. You can do better!

I won't argue for or against this yet, but IF we vote this in, and people still leave for greener pastures and we still struggle to attract pilots, Spirit can, and most likely will, increase pay or adjust contract via LOAs to retain/attract pilots. AA, Jetblue, Virgin all had 8%+ raises out of the blue, non-contract related, as well as pretty much EVERY regional out there. Just food for thought, ALL this is pretty much amendable via LOAs or MOUs.... If this passes, I imagine many will be happy and content and feel secure making 150-200k+ plus scope plus LTD, others will complain and gripe and still try to get to big D, AA, SWA, Fedex, etc. Hopefully, we will still lose 100+ pilots a year.
FWIW, I have buddies at Delta, AA, SWA, UAL (especially UAL) and they still complain about their current contracts... Also, in 2010, SWA was highest paid 737 CAs making 216/hour. |

Scope; LTD, red/green, 4 days, current good health insurance, trip rigs; all things we got. This is reasonable and will pass. Nothing is perfect and still need to see all the details before making up my mind, but hardly a terd in my opinion. Nobody knows what tomorrow brings, but having that LTD and Health insurance all while making 225k isn’t a bad place to be |
I can’t believe this is real life. Hopefully this is the minority viewpoint being expressed.
