Do you see where it says they are restricted in any way from adding as much codeshare Intl or domestic as they want?

Also to my original point, how does 1.E aquisition without a merger help us in anyway. In history has having multiple airlines or pilots groups under one parent company ever favored the pilots without a merger?

So why would the company purchase a carrier and not merge them? No synergies or benefit.

But to specifically your point, if they did, they can only grow the other carrier by 5% without growing us at the same time- and our block hour floor protects against reduction-

The roadshow is very informative on this and should address your concerns.

ALPA is going to put the presentation on the web.

I couldn’t tell you why the company would buy a carrier and not merge them. They wanted this subsection in there for a reason and I doubt it was the NCs idea.

I didn’t read it as that they can only grow the other carrier by 5% without growing us as well but I’d certainly love to hear that explanations (seriously I would).

The question remains: when in history has it ever been beneficial to the pilots of either airline to not be a merged group. Never that I’ve seen. In fact the exact opposite. I lived it.

Why did Northwest Airlines buy 47% of Midwest Express? Because they couldn’t pass up on the synergies?
