My pay rate at UAL (12 year 737) is currently $270.97 with a scheduled increase to $281.81 next Jan. 1. The market B plan is 15-16%. You guys know how to play this game. Don't let the company or Alpa talk you into anything less!

Hate to say it, but United is the last place I'd be taking financial advice, You guys are next in line for bankruptcy, pay cuts, posting in the red, and radical fleet change for shrinkage. In this economy, when everyone is making record profits, United is BARELY hanging on by the tail, even with Trump's tax cuts. If Jet fuel goes up, I hope you guys can hang in there. I've got friends over at United and they are seriously worried about their future.

If that happens it’s not a function of pilot compensation. Let’s stay on track though with the thread

So you think pilot compensation at United is going to bankrupt them?

Jamie Baker (from JP Morgan who is historically the "best" airline analyst just gave us a double upgrade to outperform) . We are going to be growing 6% for the next 3 years so tell your friends not to worry unless they're afraid of being in the left seat in under five years...

Calm down, calm down, let’s just see if this TA has enough good stuff in it to justify us making way less than your “seriously worried” friends at United.

Jetblue has built there business around codeshares, as did Virgin and as will Alaska.

Locking down your codeshare language after the fact will be a tough sell. Hopefully ours will be locked down BEFORE we build an airline around it like the aforementioned carriers.

SWA is the model, that's what we need, what HAVE to have. Absent that our contract will be absolutely worthless!

Though it would be nice to be making good money while filling out apps, waiting for the call. ;)

I agree with you and sure hope you're right. Im cautiously optimistic but the AIP bullet point email talked about "industry standard protections" which leads me to believe that won't be the case.

Agree that everyone should be filling out apps.
While doing so, we should NOT just be going for the money, but protect our CBA for a rainy day and those who stay.
I know you did not mean it that way.
