Totally agree. There is a lot to be desired in this TA, and offering someone a job with no health insurance is crap. I was just answering the"are you willing to pay for first year pay" question.

Have you been paying attention at all? For the TA we see in front of us anyways, we would have had to give something to get better training pay. The mediator was not going to push the company any further than their previous offer. Yet we still managed to squeeze out a little more money in the TA. We would have to give something up. I would actually be fine with taking a couple bucks an hour across the entire scale to make that happen. Apparently that’s not what the polling data showed. Pilots are selfish people apparently.

Why would anyone apply? No insurance (90 days), No jumpseat till training complete (type ride), low pay and no upgrade. New crappy reserve work rules (TA).

So with attitude I am guessing you give all you sick bank to the guys on the current Ltd?? Vote no on this and all you do is continue to hang us all out there with no Ltd. go ask the guys out on medical how it’s working for them. It’s just reality. You would feel different if it happened to you.

This is certainly something very important to me and I’m very aware of the risks. LTD is one of the reasons I advocated for the AIP. I came very close to losing my medical several years ago and it can happen to any of us. I don’t take this lightly and I wouldn’t vote no just over training pay and health care for new hires. Scope is different and just as important as LTD. What I was saying is that if we go back for it they can go ahead and fix the new hire issues for wasting our time.

Has anyone asked why it is that those on our current LTD cannot be transferred to the new “own occupation” terms? It was said that if you go out after DOS but before the new policy is in place you will be covered under the new policy. How is it that we can capture those guys but not those currently on it? Seems like we should be able to

Because it was before the agreement. Company won’t do it.

Be like them saying we should go back and return any transition pay. We would not agree to it.

How many guys could it actually be? United was able to secure longevity credit for furloughs essentially taking them all from 1-3yr pay to 12 yr pay when they returned. These things aren’t impossible.
