Default Training Pay

Is training pay still $1600/mo? If so, is that something that’s included in the TA?

It’s 1750/mo. 1000 in salary and 750 in per diem, until IOE is complete or 90 days, whichever is first.

Pretty shameful that the company does respect our new hires enough to just pay them monthly guarantee.

It’s also shameful we didn’t make it a priority to negotiate a change, along with healthcare from day one.

1750/mo. 1600/mo. Same difference. Who can make it on that type of pay? I appreciate the response though.

“Negotiate” means give and take. Curious how much you would be willing to give up to increase training pay?

I’m not the pull up the ladder type. Training pay, health coverage, and first year pay were priorities for me. I also don’t like flying with the misfits, and when everyone is hiring $1750 and no health care doesn’t buy you much for talent or personality.

I agree with everything you said but the question still remains. -what/how much are you willing to give up to increase training pay and cover health insurance?

Hiring for 15 aircraft at 16 pilots, so 240 guys on first year. 1000 hours per pilot, $ 20 extra would cost about $5 mil. 2000 guys on property, $2500 per pilot, or about $2.50/hour. Honestly I would be ok doing it.

We shouldn’t have to give up anything. If they want a deal done, which I think they do otherwise we wouldn’t be talking about this, then it’s just a condition of the deal getting done. Pony up. Training pay is a joke but no health insurance is just flat wrong.
