Can spirit pilots head over here and give your thoughts?

It sounds like Spirit is maybe leading the effort on this?

Is it true Spirit pilots have a documented procedure for this event?

There was a video floating around (maybe on youTube?) of a very knowledgeable Spirit pilot giving a presentation to the American Airlines pilots on this subject. Not sure if it's still around but I'll look for it. It was about 45 minutes long and very informative. Perhaps someone else has it and can post it in the meantime.?

This is the real deal. According to ALPA - the events are happening in all aircraft types, all airlines - yes, including regional airlines. From what I recall - oil is entering into the environmentals. Yes NK has been addressing the issue. One incident - crew members (including FA's) were hospitalized after a severe event. The FO on this particular flight has been spear heading the effort. He mentioned, after the event, he and the FA's had been hospitalized for several days - feeling completely "out of it." The Captain died shortly after - may have been due to an unrelated issue.
I know this sounds extraordinary, I'm only sharing what I've heard from the FO who experienced this severe event.
Many airlines have expressed concern because crew have experienced it. I've experienced it several times. Wet socks odor during the descent in an A319. It was temporary and I don't recall the exact physiological reaction, only a head ache (may not have been as severe as other incidents). I only share this with you - so that you are aware.

I know the environmental committee at Spirit is pretty active at trying to find solutions to this problem. If any of you Spirit folks have the time, they could use your help/volunteer .

Thanks everyone.
I am going to ask the moderator to close this thread in the hopes that people will post in the thread that is non airline specific.
