probably not a bad idea considering some of our guys have outstanding warrants for things like not paying alimony and felony assault.

It’s OK. Some of them were homeless and fishing in the rain before coming here. It’s was probably just a “stop gap” measure in the past anyway.

I was better prepared financially for my second furlough. Crap happens in this business. |

Looks as though our FA’s are approved to wear Teal(Frontier Green) on their uniforms. The company has also been introducing this in their advertising. What do you make of it? Teal doesn’t exactly go with Black and Yellow. We may have a marriage coming.
I’m not saying for a second that a Frontier marriage is out of the realm of possibility, but I seriously doubt that the powers that be are going to subtly drop hints by adding a secondary color to our branding that our potential partner also happens to use as a secondary color about a merger/aqusition that otherwise needs to be kept very tight lipped until the deal is final and announced as it would likely generate huge competitive response and likely major opposition. It’s reminds me of the time about 5 years ago that an NK FA swore to me that a Southwest merger was imminent because some of the Coke cans in her galley cart had Southwest branding. She insisted it was hints being dropped by Mgmt., I was fairly certain it was a catering mix up. |

Spirit does advertisements, since when? If you’re referring to the Flash banner at the top of Spirits home page I guess the route lines showing new service are kind of tealish but they can’t do everything black and yellow and I do seem to recall that about a year and a half or so ago it was announced that new “highlight” color(s)would be introduced into branding. Frontier’s main color is a deep green, not even close to teal. They do have that arrow on thier new paintjob that is close to teal but is more of a light blue.

Well that’s no fun. I think the teal highlights are a clear indication of our looming merger with Fr...Alaska. Why not?

Well if we’re talking about the possibility of being based in PDX some day in the distant future, then belay my last, an Alaska merger is imminent and teal highlights prove it 😜

there is no benefit to our pilot group to merge with anyone, dont understand the fascination with nk/f9 merger that is likely never going to happen
No insults just saying a strong & sure thing comment like the above tend to make people think you have not been in aviation long enough. |

I don't see any merger within the next 5 years. If the economy takes a dump and fuel prices spike; then there will be a rash of mergers. Until then, business as usual.
Smarter industry analysts (multiple) are for sure we will see M&A attempts that will happen really soon. Much much sooner than 4-5yrs. Also oil prices have spiked 30% over a few short months (how long will it stay at these levels is the concern). Many carriers F9, B6, NK, SW, Alaska, Hawaiian, United Continental are evaluating themselves & all long-term opportunities. |
