Started of with 10 day trips, long time ago, same hotel, turns every day. Nobody brought their enormous suitcase. At NK lots of out of base night jungle turns, easier leaving wet gym gear and food in my room.

Agreed,

I only ride the bus with pre 2001 guys. All my new hires "couldn't find a decent parking place and end up on the roof of the Cypress Garage".

It's that lurking feeling we all have, that maybe, just maybe tomorrow we're going to have Bob Crandall and Darth Vader for Ops, revive the ValuJet brand without a sole from the corner office asking MY opinion.

Remember when Ben Baldanza said "all our passengers are morons" and hit reply all? It's like when a Red Solo Cup spills down the front of your back. Yucky.

It's $15 to park in FLL right? 13 turns is what $195/mo is $2,145 year (assuming you've been here long enough to hold turns and get 4 weeks off)?

That's a lot of Androgel and consequent G-Strings to pass up.

Now let's throw in the $4/shirt for dry clean. $572/year. Add that up to 15 years if you manage to survive this career choice and you get $40,980 more for your rotten kids (or divorce lawyer gets) that probably hate you (because you were never around) to spend when the E-Coli coffee and radiation kill you at 64.

Not to mention the $42.00 T-Shirt with a monkey on it from the Guatemala gift shop you buy (gotta look sharp) when you lose a Home Depot quality bolt on the gear doors and don't carry spare bolts (apparently there's this odd device called a "safety wire". You never want to hear "Commander, we have a problem" when you park in GUA.

Now the extra stripe starts to get heavy. Dinner for the crew. Commida corrida ($2.00) dinner (that's five people and I don't understand "separate checks" in Spanish and they don't understand English), thankfully, it was a 319).

So another $12 bucks with tip.

Let's not even consider if the JB deal goes through and you get to pay $19.99 for a coffee in NY.

$41,034 bucks

Coffee is $1 in NY. Just sayin. Of course keep believing what you spew. FLL at JB is awful for the JR. They’re salivating at your Jr base and will decimate your QOL. It’s going to be a horrible day on the first month award. Also, get used to being paid on the 8th and 20th. That likely won’t change. Plan accordingly!

I bet you still tip the van driver $1, but only if it’s waiting for you.
