Was in an interview pool last week. Very large group.

The Director of training stated that they were putting the finishing touches on AQP for initial and that he expected October/November for the first AQP-initial class.

The question about holding FLL (and other bases was also asked) - the general answer was that you would probably be able to hold almost any base you wanted before you completed training. Time to hold a line, however, was largely base-dependent.

You did the amateur mistake of believing the interviewers. Lmao. AQP is not coming (anytime soon). Jetblue merger isn't happening (ever).

It’s coming at the same time as lpv approval.

Yes Interviewers promote all types of stuff and pass it off like it’s already established and set forth, when reality it’s nothing more than a jumpseat chatter. JetBlue is notorious for this, telling California prospectus that LAX is going to explode and potentially widebodies. (see LAX-Hawaii) I remember flying with a former chief pilot who returned to the line who seemed to have deep conscience questioning moment about this very practice.
Yes it’s called Lying, but it’s pretty much standard industry practice (todays code word for justifying unethical business practices)
As for these particular Spirit forecasts, one of these things COULD be true but certainly not both. AQP cost many American Dolla, if Spirit remains stand alone…..I don’t see the incentive for it.
Contrasted with the acquisition:merger, by:with JetBlue ……there is a court trial set to begin on Oct 16….where it is very much the intent of one side to make that a reality.
If the reality comes true then by default it’ll be AQP because JetBlue is.

Sssssssssssssalty. You weren’t hired, that happens. Your opinions based on (maybe) nine months of 121 experience isn’t much help to other candidates. Go enjoy your chill.

Starting to make sense on why you weren’t hired, besides the multiple failed check rides, obviously.
