If/when the F9’s TA passes, it’ll be interesting to see if it affects recruiting or not.

Sorry I really don't check up on what we are doing from a hiring stand point. i was surprised April was the offer considering it's Dec. The Pool thing is new. Didn't know that one!

In Aug/September I talked to guys interviewing, they were being told folks were going to go into a pool back then since classes for the remainder of the year were already full. So I think they have quite a few swimmers in the pool as of now. Training over the holidays is always reduced at every airline. It doesn't surprise me that recent interviewees are being told April, I think the poolies from late summer/early fall have the first few months of 2019 filled up already.

[QUOTE=deltajuliet;2720585]Surprised there aren’t more early spring class dates to get people trained and on line prior to summer starting.

We’re pretty fat on staffing (as of today) even with higher book hours in the summer I think we’re in pretty good shape...however we’re all anticipating an aircraft announcement right around the first of the year which will probably affect applications and wait times etc..

We are staffed for the current planes we have now but even without a new plane order we are still getting a bunch of planes for the next few years. I think the new contract and lack of transition conflicts has proved to be much more efficient with regards to staffing than even the company had planned and we are feeling the effects of that with the slowing of hiring and upgrades. Once it catches up and we keep getting new planes the hiring and upgrades will pick back up.

let’s keep our fingers crossed for next year!

I understand that attendees that went to ATL MTC got invites, but anyone on here from LAX and later MTC events get anything yet? Seems from the folks I’ve stayed in touch with have only heard crickets, myself included.
