I stand by my comment. Denying SWA jumpseaters is a weird and entirely inappropriate escalation.
Just put pressure on them when they show up for a ride and ask them to please push for a solution. |
Reading this stupid thread is 10 minutes of my life I’ll never get back.
You’re out of your mind if you think a reasonable solution is to start denying other pilots a jumpseat because their company is still working out the kinks of their new computer system. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Absolutely agree. I use swa almost exclusively when I js and have never had an issue with them. I think I have had to have them take out the 0 twice and once they did that no problems. That being said I am extremely polite and thankful to them. I am betting if you walk up to the counter thinking its going to be a fight it will.

I have had a different experience, for over a month I got denied CASS because of system time out, and I am not the only one. Everyone at SWA is very nice and helpful but they do have a long history of IT issues worse than us.
Sorry to hear that, they have never told me that they’ve had a system time out before and that’s why it wouldn’t work (for me it’s always been the 0) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Correct.. the reasonable solution is for SWA pilots to engage their union to engage their company to fix the issues all while they enjoy ease of access of others' jumpseats.
