I stand by my comment. Denying SWA jumpseaters is a weird and entirely inappropriate escalation.

And easy when you're not a commuter.

Just put pressure on them when they show up for a ride and ask them to please push for a solution.

Reading this stupid thread is 10 minutes of my life I’ll never get back.

You’re out of your mind if you think a reasonable solution is to start denying other pilots a jumpseat because their company is still working out the kinks of their new computer system.

Correct.. the reasonable solution is for SWA pilots to engage their union to engage their company to fix the issues all while they enjoy ease of access of others' jumpseats.

Absolutely agree. I use swa almost exclusively when I js and have never had an issue with them. I think I have had to have them take out the 0 twice and once they did that no problems. That being said I am extremely polite and thankful to them. I am betting if you walk up to the counter thinking its going to be a fight it will.

I have had a different experience, for over a month I got denied CASS because of system time out, and I am not the only one. Everyone at SWA is very nice and helpful but they do have a long history of IT issues worse than us.

Sorry to hear that, they have never told me that they’ve had a system time out before and that’s why it wouldn’t work (for me it’s always been the 0)

Clearly you fail to remember when your airline (supposedly DAL) refused to allow jumpseaters, even their own pilots. How’d that DALPA influence work back then? You might need a few more ALPA history lessons my friend.

Thanks, not trying to start a pi**ing match, I have family at SWA. I just got tired of seeing the plane push with an empty cockpit seat. The only info I got was the file size of some of our and United pilots picture file was so big it causes time out with low data speed in CASS.....
