The leather jacket has to be from our approved vendor
But let’s be honest, every pilot does what they want anyways with uniform and justifies it accordingly. |
Sorry this is off topic. Seems like Spirit’s website doesn’t have employee travel login anymore. Anyone know where to go to list?

No it doesn’t. It just has to meet the style approved by the company; wings, epaulettes, tapered bottom. Carol in DTW will verify this. The Perone jacket is mid grade quality and there are other options of better quality and fit that meet the company specifications.

The intermediate jacket is a certain brand and has epaulets and wings required.

There's nothing itermediate about the Karbon if anyone is thinking of ordering it. It's a lot warmer than the leather IMO. It's definitely heavier than your typical North Face or Columbia soft shell.
I think the northface has a place practically but I for one think a uniform makes us look uniform and presents an image as pilots so it irritates me when guys do their own thing. I thought the Karbon was a good option for compromise as long as it’s worn with wings and epaulets just like the leather. You never see a double breasted ocean liner captain at delta saying the single option they are given is not acceptable and instead do their own thing. You don’t have to like the options given but it’s your job to conform. |

Interesting. Is that with our without the liner. I pretty much go from no jacket straight to the leather because my blazer is an ill fitting pos. Was thinking about the Karbon as a shoulder season jacket but if that’s not the case I’ll just keep doing what I’m doing or hopefully get a better blazer when we change uniforms.

I ordered mine without the liner. It’s overkill unless you’re walking around Minneapolis in January.

I’ve got a brand new large size, regular length Karbon with the liner for sale if anyone is considering buying one.
PM me if interested. |
