Spirit “Forgot” to pay new per diem rates
Is that a joke? They didn’t forget. It was deliberate! They don’t pay until someone notices. Same thing they did with our health insurance for which they still have our two years of over payments. They purposely don’t pay our hotels. They deny contractually obligated rigs. It’s how they do business. They didn’t forget!

This is unfortunately how this place is run. I have no idea why so many people drink the cool-aid here. |
I think that total I was shorted was like $3.00. So they probably saved $6k with this oversight. Which is to say that the panties in a wad over this is probably not called for. It’s far more likely that someone dropped that extra penny or whatever it is when entering data than some nefarious plane to save $6k. Or $10k if it’s 2 pennies.
This place nets about $1M a day. Put it in perspective. |

What ever happened with the overpayments? Did they ever make the employees whole?

It is not necessary to ascribe to malice that which can be explained satisfactorily by incompetence or stupidity.

"Positive rate, gear up" is my guess! |

The answer: they just don’t want to pay the rigs the agreed to so they want to stall and keep our money as long as possible with no consequence. But hey all the station managers got to rah rah at the C-suite dressing up as funny characters and dance on stage. “Culture” |

And we're going to do what about it?
"Positive rate, gear up" is my guess! I don’t pretend to think that other airline managements love their pilots but this management is something else in the lengths they go to save money on an already bottom CBA that affords them an industry leading cost advantage. It’s just disrespect. |
