You’re not “hacking” Flica opentime. The opentime is there, the bot is basically just a computer program that scans the available opentime and puts in dozens of requests simultaneously based on what you told the program you want. Same way FCView can log into your Flica account and present your schedule in an app on your phone, the app isn’t hacking your schedule. The bots log into your account, just like FCView, and instead search through the available open time and put in requests much quicker than any human could possible do it.

The issue is most apparent when Daily time for the next month opens. It opened today at 12 EST for May, and is first come first served, not seniority based. I will be sitting in the waiting room, I have nothing else running but still, it will load so slow that it will take me around a minute per request. I look at the awards, and there is people who were able to pick up all three of the high block trips I bid on and I got none. There have been emails from both the union and management about it, so I assume it is a real thing.

Do you even work here? Ryan sent out an email about this just last month...

No, I think the virgin of Alaska forum is his home.

Yes, same guy on the CA side, always getting the trips. Makes DOT or even when something pops up later, total BS for the rest of us that play by the rules. Union probably won’t do anything and the company has bigger fish to fry... it’s sickening!

You obviously don’t work here and have no idea how big of an issue this is. It’s against Flica’s policy to use any type of bots, to do the picking up of open time. It’s a real issue that the company and Flica knows about, and the chief pilot has sent out an email about it.

He’s an Alaskan virgin dude.

So when is the company going to step in?? The email from the chief didn’t seem to scare the bot users off! Can’t be hard to catch these guys. When all their time stamps are within seconds of posting!

Doesn’t stop it. A certain Spaniard in DFW has been highly suspected for a while now.

Did you contact your rep and the scheduling committee?

I know the company is aware that people are doing it but lets be honest the company couldn't figure out where their own crews were for the last 2-3 days. I'm betting this isn't high on their list of things to fix.
