Might be a silly question, but can you wear those protective masks all the time when flying? I know some guys will keep one handy when DH, but I think I want to wear one at all time even when working the flight. Or is that not possible because of headset, hot mic, etc?

Wouldn't that be like wearing an oxygen mask waiting for a depressurization?

I suppose so. I'd just prefer to breathe in nice, clean air at all times. I may get a sideways look from the other seat though.

There's no rule that I'm aware of that forbids you to wear the mask. My question is why would you want to? They've been in contact with countless faces over the years.

I fly on O2 100% always. Reminds me of my fighter pilot days. You can be my wingman anytime.

I think he’s saying if we wears his own mask. Not the airplanes O2 mask.

Like a hospital mask I totally get it. However I wanted to drop a Top Gun line in here for good measure.

I don’t actually wear the O2 mask full time, I’m not a complete psychopath. Lol

You’d definitely get reactions.

If you put the boom mic in your mouth, you’re doing it wrong.
