Looks like ULCC model still doesn’t print money as well as the legacies when they improve their products outside of bankruptcy era. In the long run with the walmartization of everything and the growing wealth gap I still believe in the ULCC model but dang United. I can imagine with the max online it would’ve been even better

IMO Spirit's model is the best. UAL, DAL, etc have a good model now while times are good. What happens when main street doesn't feel as rich anymore when housing prices stagnant or go down, their 401k goes down, etc? Spirit's tickets are so cheap they cast a wide net. I don't work for Spirit but as long as the company stays true to its pricing model, you will never go hungry. Eventually I would imagine you will start to take over much of SWA's business, once you start to really scale in the 300 aircraft range.

Spirit left the ULCC model and are a high value carrier now. Get with the times or spirit will leave you behind

Sun or ball of flaming gas and fire....it’s still the same thing. ULCC is a concept, high value carrier is marketing.

Next thing you’re going to tell me is that we are not truly part of the “Spirit Family”

Too much for one day.

Thanks. Don't forget that Delta also tore the cover off of the ball.
We're still under contract negotiations so this helps a lot for leverage.
The max hurt a bit but they've increased the flying on the remaining narrowbody fleet to make up for it, plus I think they've used a bit of widebodies for some domestic flying.
