Given that ol Teddy said that Q3 costs would be much higher, because of their staffing screw ups, I have to assume the stock will drop more once earnings are released. With Spirit, nothing ever seems to be priced in, so I would be shocked if it didn’t drop again after Q3.
Now when it drops again, that’s when I would possible see someone coming in. Teddy is going to roll out this new fuel policy in a few weeks to try and improve his cost numbers. Flashback to the Indigo days where planes were planned at 4.0 landing. |

With the 737max debacle They need planes and pilots Many planes and pilots 140 and 60 or so orders will be the max that SWA ordered and is about to cancel and go on different path with 2 fleets |

For sure! Forget their pay scale and trip rigs that allow you to easily have 18 days off a month, right?

Also their lack of flexibility in dropping their schedule. The only way to drop there is to have someone else pick up your trip.
With 18 days off what kind of drop will you need Anyway |

I (we) (nobody) should be shocked with a red reserve grid in a summer where we carried 12-17% reserve staffing. This shouldn’t be a shock when our historical reserve staffing is about double the low end of that.
Now that the company got their peepees slapped and are increasing hiring and reserve staffing, the grid should be more solidly green going forward. Remember last year after summer, up until this summer collapse, grid was green green green. This was all pre Teddy trying to make a name for himself. But yeah, when they barely have enough reserve coverage this summer to make 75% of the grid green by a day, it doesn’t take much in IOT to turn it red. But the company learned the hard way that doesn’t fly, and Teddy is now hiring every Tom, Dick, and Harry so he can keep his job a little longer. |

Getting Sundays and Saturdays off is my biggest schedule priority. My schedule for August initially had me working 3 of 4 Sundays as well as Sunday the 1st of September. I ended up working only 1 of those and that one turned into a trip that I could commute home in time for church. Other than that one weekend, I haven't worked a Sunday or Saturday for the entire month. Every single trip was commutable except on the end of one of them. At this moment I'm sitting on 83 hours credit with 17 days off after X list trips. And I have the entire week off next week to get more. I bid around 80% in my base. This experience has been more normal than the exception for me.
So yeah....I'd say my QOL has been nothing short of fantastic for a junior guy who can barely hold a line even during the summer months. |

Unless you’re in the to 10% of your seat here good luck dropping anything other than a 2 day during the week. I’m not a spirit qol hater, but the guys who claim to have carte blanche over their schedule are either very very senior or stretching the truth (edit: or have a bot)

Idk...Teddy’s F up has been my gain. Making $64,000 in 2 months ain’t bad. Please Ted, keep those upgrades and new hires down to a trickle.

I’ve Been doing ok. 39% in base. 74 hour line, dropped a 4 day in IOT and a 3 day in DOT and picked up 2 3 days for a 71 hour line working 12 days.

The engineers in Toulouse designed the A320 with the lowest common denominator in mind, say, a Sub-Saharan First Officer with a bone still stuck through his nose.
So with that in mind, I’m fairly confident even a Flat Earther can operate Fifi more or less in a safe manner... Flat Earth is a mental illness. Study science. Stop the stupid. |
The beatings continue...$35 and falling.

Pretty sure that MCO Airport Authority closing the airport drove those cancellations right? Nonetheless it does seem that our CEO is a little in over his head.
Frontier Spirit and Allegiant canceled as soon as the notice came out and the storm was still a ways off. You know, still headed for Alabama at that point 😂 But I agree, it seemed he was so scared of having the system collapse, so he canceled early. If I had to guess, ol Bob Fornaro would have not canceled so early as being around for a while, has a little more hair on the grapes to not cancel so quick. Storms change, after all, Alabama was spared from destruction |

Yes. And AA, SWA and JBLU didn’t cancel any flights at that point. They waited.

Highly doubt it was Solely the CEO’s call to cancel the flights.

Welp, nothing a black sharpie marker can’t fix anyways. Lucky there’s an Office Depot not 3.2 miles from Miramar. Unlimited supply. Prolly even have the big fat ones too. |
