This was back when the EMK was up front so I could not place my bag in the corner behind me, so I had to strap my bag behind hers.

I remember thinking "the one thing I have as an FO is the more accessible bag storage, and she just took that away from me too"

Funny thing is I omitted ‘her’ from that . But you knew exactly who this person is I’m
Guessing. Who cares about you as long as she can reach her ham sandwich .. haha. Thankfully we have very few at this airline . But we have some real doozies .

Their bag and makes you put yours in the overhead bin in the back? That’s a GOD complex and hence why they are on a ‘list’ the very reason a list exists is Because of this behavior

Next time you should tell that captain you’re going to watch the gate agent check his ID after he watches you to make sure you are both who y’all say you are.

I don't think any FO worth their salt takes offense to being counseled and mentored. That's what a good captain is supposed to do. However, some captains simply do a terrible job of it. And some captains don't bother following SOP themselves, instead relying on their own slapstick version that they've made up over years of disregarding the books. Those are the truly dangerous types.

Saying that is more based on experiences at my last airline than at this one. In my year on property I have yet to fly with someone that I wanted to put on a No Fly list. The group overall is outstanding. There's always that small percentage.

I just saw the list the other day and noticed I’d just flown with someone on it. Person was a little more paranoid flying around thunderstorms than I thought they needed to be but oh well. No other complaints.

There are several pilots in both seats in FLL that wear entirely too much cologne. With one FO it actually makes it hard to breathe. It’s work not a club, leave your cologne at home. Btw, while a bit odd the captain you mention that is on the list is a good pilot and knows the airplane well and on top of that a pretty nice guy. Not the best representative for spirit but I would have no problem flying with him again.

And for the other ones you describe how does any of those behaviors warrant a no fly. Probably not the best of our co workers but seriously all that stuff seems pretty tolerable.

No offense but I’m getting a big “birds of a feather, flock together” vibe here. I can’t think of one time I have ever been bothered with cologne from a pilot or FA.

How can you excuse some of the notorious actions of our worst as being “tolerable” but if someone wears cologne, they should “leave it at home, it’s not a club”

“Take your cologne off,” “put your big boy pants on,” etc.....great attitude

I was never bothered by any cologne until I flew with this one guy and he was in open time a bit last month so I’m guessing others have noticed. It’s a full on fume event. It’s distracting.

I guy having verifying the agent checks your ID ridiculous but it’s not going to ruin my day. I’ve never flown with this character though.

Someone telling me to put my bag in the back and I’ll laugh as I strap it to the jumpseat. Other option is you laugh it off as you take your bag to the back. Either way shouldn’t ruin your day.
