ORD

Sorry if this has been asked before, I used the search function but couldn't find anything.

How senior is ORD? Is it a base that can be awarded out of training? Or at least a few months out of training? Whats the average for a line in ORD?

Thanks all.

I’m sure you can get ORD within 6 months. There is a bunch of turn now that we are hiring again. Not sure an exact time to get to ORD but I would think pretty quick. It is a more senior FO base

Growth in ORD will come as we get more gates. That will happen as they finish construction on the new runway and then start on rebuilding terminal 2.

I’m still in training (started end of August) and I got ORD for the December bid.

Where was this announced?

I believe it was part of that big agreement that was signed a while ago with AA, UA, NK, and the Chicago Airport Authority. We are gate constrained in ORD right now if I understand things correctly.

Bases are awarded according to your seniority which is given to you in your class depending on your age. So oldest in class holds best seniority.
