Possibly more like we get many more applicants without degrees because it isn’t a requirement, unlike other carriers, so we are likely to hire more pilots without a degree because of the larger amount in the application pool.

What would you recommend as far as getting to know some Spirit pilots? Is there a job fair in particular you would say I should definitely go to?

I’m kinda removed from that so I don’t really know about job fairs or anything. Just know that the less experience you have the more you’re going to have to get out there and meet people at Spirit if you want a shot at getting an interview. Someone I know just got hired without a job fair or meeting the chiefs but he has 9000 hours 121 and probably half that as PIC with no degree. He had letters of recommendation too. I know there are meet the chief events but not sure how you’d go about getting invited to one.

Spirit had a booth at NGPA earlier this year, I’m guessing they will again at the next one. They host a job fair every year in Palm Springs, the next one is in February. If you look at their website they should be posting information soon about which companies will be attending. SF (our lead recruiter) was there and anyone who wanted was able to get some very good facetime with her.
