This management team has no desire to run a profitable airline. I was cautiously optimistic in 2015 that we’d get a deal, 3 years later with a TRO slapped on the NC/MEC we finally did.

I definitely believe something needs to be done to slow attrition. BUT, if that was really the case, then why didn’t the company attempt to fix it sooner with an LOA or MOU?? Which is why I believe we will not see a deal anytime soon….and Bendo.

Does ACY schedule tend to shrink in off season? Curious how much a junior fo on reserve there flies during the cold part of the year.

The grid being almost completely red and the fact there are only 38 actively bidding for October in PBS when historically it has been 45 plus.

Perhaps the word “very” is not accurate, but just short. Either way, it’s enough of a difference to create a decline in the QOL of the pilots.

Also the ALV has been increasing.

I'd add base is nearing 40% reserve coverage ACY on the captain side due to inability to staff the FO side. 52 captains for 31 lines, 3NBs. FOs only 29 total lines expected in OCT.

Isn't the reserve grid for you guys required to be green when it opens?

The grid is contractually compliant at the start of Initial Open Time, but becomes almost exclusively red at the close. Only the top 10 percent are able to take advantage of the QOL this hard fought provision provides.

This is due to low FO staffing, and because of this, the grid starts with a net reserves of only 0 or 1 for many of the days. There are too many open duty periods compared to the number of available pilots.

By the time the first 5 pilots start adjusting their schedule (dropping most trips so they can become available for premium trips) the grid is almost completely red.
