Ky. (WDRB) -- Police say a commercial pilot was arrested on child pornography charges at Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport this afternoon after he got off a plane.
According to New Albany Police Chief Todd Bailey, Robert W. Brown Jr. was exiting a commercial flight on Friday when authorities made the arrest.
He is charged with two counts of child exploitation.
Brown was taken to Louisville Metro Corrections, where he awaits extradition to Indiana.
A spokesperson for Spirit Airlines confirmed that Brown is a pilot with that airline, but said at the time of the arrest, he was flying as a passenger on a Republic Airways flight. They said he was not piloting that particular flight.Bailey released a statement on Friday:
"The New Albany Police Criminal Investigation's team has thoroughly investigated this matter which involves extraordinarily disturbing factors," Chief Bailey said, in a statement. "I would like to thank the Louisville International Airport Police for their assistance in apprehending Mr. Brown."
Bailey said no further information would be released at this time.

We had one of these at my old regional too. They arrested him at his overnight in Canada. Dude lived less than 2 miles from me (and our kid) and I'd flown with him a few times. No word on what became of him, but I hope he's rotting away in a cell somewhere.

Yeah, this guy is sick. He physically/sexually assaulted a Flight Attendant I used to work with, on an almost empty flight commuting back to Louisville some years ago. I knew her personally, and I know it happened. She eventually reported it and, come to find out, she wasn't the only one he'd done it to. She was #3. Guess 3rd time wasn't the charm, and he was finally fired from the Regional Airline he worked at. Felt really bad for the FA, she was really cool (a pilot's dream 'Wingman' like one of the guys). It really jacked her up for some time; and esp since she couldn't talk about it for a LONG time, while he fought his firing through the union. And you know how gossipy airlines are, but imagine not being able to defend yourself during the course of the Union hearings, it took a long time. Well, he lost....and then, after he lost/didn't get his job back....come to find out, he started stalking her, parking outside her house and she thinks he tried to poison her dogs. It was some serious shht. HOW THE HECK WAS HE ABLE TO GET ANOTHER AIRLINE JOB IS WHAT I WANT TO KNOW!!! Hearing her story, I was amazed how she managed to keep it together. I realized, even though she's a good, kind person & full of life, she is one tough cookie. Anyhow, this freak is exactly where he belongs, and she survived, to witness his Karma come back around. This creep is going to get major prison time, I bet.....no more flying jobs in his future. He is a predator of the HIGHEST level.
