And to the OP: This isn’t a regional. You don’t overnight in the crew room. Pony up for the hotel.

Exactly.....I'm sure the flight attendants turning what was an ok sleep room in ORD into there personal crash pad helped revise it to what it is now.

Just curious what the crew rooms are like at various accommodations. I’m interviewing soon and couldn’t be more excited. By no means is this a deal breaker but I’m at a regional now and the CRs suck. Sticky leather couches, peeling recliners and 24/7 fluorescent light and absolutely no overnights.

I have some friends at legacy carriers and they tell me about really great rooms some with gyms and far / quiet spaces specifically for sleeping and showers and the like (Delta DTW).

Is it possible to RON in a crew room 1-3 times per month if needed while commuting? DTW or ORD are my preferences. I’m commuting from north east wisconsin area.

is this a troll post?!!! This is joke right? Zero sleep unless you can sleep at a table. Get a Chase priority pass credit card and get sleep in a real lounge. Good luck thx for the laugh!

No it’s not a troll post. Sorry it’s funny. I’m just wondering man. My company specifically prohibits overnight accommodations. Very frustrating when you’re only crashing 5 or 6 hours before the early flight out.

Sounds like other carriers legacy’s specifically allow and provide for that sort of thing. If spirit doesn’t it’s not worries just trying to get a feel for that type of thing. They don’t put that stuff on the recruiting poster.

first year or not. It’s called being a grown up. Many guys are coming from regionals or corporate where they weren’t getting rich but were making a living wage. We aren’t hiring guys that are 22 years old making $19k a year.

You cant blame everything on first year pay. “I’m on first year pay” isn’t a get out of jail card for all things.

“You didn’t tip the van driver”
”I’m on first year pay”

”You are wearing a NorthFace as your uniform”
”I’m on first year pay”

”You slept in the crew room and use it as a hotel”
”I’m on first year pay”

And the same guy will spend $25 on an airport dinner during the trip, seen it before.

In ORD by terminal 2 there’s that children’s play area, you can sleep in the airplane at night.

In FLL there’s behind the counter at Pei Wei where the employees like to sleep.

Go to the Delta terminal in DTW by the end of the B Gates and there too I think are nice sofas you can chill out at.

LAS just grab your busted duffle bag of clothes and lay wherever you want.

DFW you can sleep on the train.

MCO once again go to the Delta terminal, grab a bloomin onion from the Outback and sleep soundly on the nice couches in the centerpoint.

Theres some bushes by the terminal in ACY you can sleep in but be prepared to be joined by three other people.
