So I wonder what the real reason for BNA is
Clearly time-wise a tornado is much less disruptive than days of anticipation from a hurricane. Tornados are also much more localized in nature. But after a big tornado moved through BNA last night it’s kind of hard to justify the move purely due to wx concerns. Seems like DTW would’ve been a better choice.

Hurricanes are a certainty tornados are pretty random and not as common in the East as in tornado alley. Hurricanes disrupt everything including your employees ability to get to work, both during after and while they prep. Don’t think this changes the logic. Also you have to go somewhere that costs are reasonable and employees are willing to live. Lots of other factors beyond wx. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk DTW though is almost never crippled by weather and I’m sure office space would be cheap. Question is can you get a solid workforce that wants to be there and grow with you. I don’t know. Either way BNA it is just ironic considering last nights storm. |
I’m still surprised they didn’t just move it to DTW. No significant weather other than snow and I’m sure they’d be willing to give incentives

Agreed, Vegas would have made far more sense. Inexpensive facilities, already a big Spirit City, and basically zero extreme weather.

If the OCC is moving to Maryland Farms in Brentwood/Franklin it is highly unlikely they would be directly hit by a tornado due to the immediate topography in that area.

Centrally located to the majority of the US population. Great spot for a short haul connect hub:
